About Us
Honoring Pat's Legacy
The Patrick Grange Memorial Foundation was established in 2013 to honor the memory of Patrick Grange, who lost his battle with ALS at the age of 29.
Our Mission
Fighting ALS Through Action
Patrick Grange was a gifted soccer player, a beloved friend, and a light in every room he entered. When he was diagnosed with ALS in 2012, his family and friends rallied around him — and never stopped.
After Pat's passing, his brain was donated to Boston University's CTE Center, where researchers made the groundbreaking discovery that he had CTE. He became the first American soccer player diagnosed with the condition, bringing critical attention to head injury risks in the sport.
Today, the PGMF continues Pat's fight through three pillars: raising awareness about ALS, funding critical research, and building community through events that embody Pat's joyful, generous spirit.
